Delivery Terms and Conditions for Loose Inserts

Number of Loose Inserts to be supplied by you

Always at least 5% more than the printed edition, with regard to possible waste.

Models/Examples of Loose Inserts

One month before the publication date you will be required to send Publimedia GmbH approximately
10 models/examples of the Loose Insert to be used for approval. These copies can be sent to:

Folding

Unless specified otherwise Loose Inserts should be supplied folded.

Packaging and Transport

  • Preferably use Europallets
  • Pallets should be supplied properly wrapped in pallet wrap or shrink-wrap foil
  • The Loose Inserts should be contained within the pallet dimensions
  • The pallet wrapping should prevent any shifting or sliding of the Loose Inserts
  • The Loose Inserts should be wrapped in such a way that no humidity from the outside can enter
  • The Loose Inserts should not be warped or curved
  • The Loose Inserts should not stick or cling
  • The Loose Inserts should be properly processable during production
  • When possible apply strong intermediate sheets between the various layers
  • When necessary use corner supports
  • Each pallet should have a packing slip

This packing slip should clearly state:

  1. The title of the magazine concerned in which the Loose Inserts will be placed
  2. The publication month concerned of the magazine in which the Loose Inserts will be placed
  3. Your company stamp
  4. The title of the Loose Insert
  5. The number of copies per pallet
  6. The total number of Loose Inserts
  7. The total number of pallets
  8. The address details of the sender and recipient
  9. A blank space for any remarks

When the above is not complied with Publimedia GmbH or the printing/finishing company acting on
behalf of Publimedia GmbH, Publimedia GmbH reserves the right to refuse the delivery.

In order to avoid warped, curved, sticking or from a production point of view not properly processable
Loose Inserts, the packaging requirements and/or suggestions are summarised as follows:

Bundling

  • Prevent the use of string to avoid warping
  • Do not use elastic bands, strapping, paper binding, etc.
  • All Loose Inserts of a bundle should be stacked in the same direction
  • Bundles should be properly separated, on all four sides as well as above and below
  • When stacking is not possible, we advise the use of boxes or pallet boxes

General

Each request for information or questions on specifications or deliveries should be exclusively directed
to Publimedia GmbH and not to the processing company concerned.

When a delivery does not comply with the above mentioned terms and conditions or is delivered at
least 2 weeks prior to the delivery date determined by Publimedia GmbH, Publimedia GmbH
reserves the right to refuse the delivery.

In the case of a premature delivery of at least 2 weeks before the delivery date determined by
Publimedia GmbH, Publimedia GmbH will be entitled to charge the instructing party storage and
administration costs at 3,5% of the net order value without prior notification.

Publimedia GmbH can not accept any responsibility for the content and the implications of
agreements entered into with third parties in relation to the transaction unless Publimedia GmbH
has given her explicit written approval of such.
